Wonderful experience in the evening here, Dion made it so. He even came out to help me wipe my car down after the wash as a courtesy even. This place is lucky to have him!!

UPDATE August 2026: Felt the need to edit this, as recently, this car wash has started to change. The people here are less friendly overall, and they have stopped giving complimentary air fresheners. There have also been other small changes and maintenance issues. They have stopped putting more than one cart of towels out, the power washing wand for the mat cleaner has no receptacle to place it back into (replaced by a traffic cone) and no scrub brush anymore, and many of the air guns are either missing or broken. The folks working there park their personal vehicles in the vacuuming area, taking up some of the spots. The wash itself still does a great job and the prices haven't changed, but just a less friendly vibe overall and some of the equipment seems to be lacking maintenance all of a sudden. Not sure if there was a management change or what, but it's a noticeable downgrade from 1-2 months ago. Great car wash. Super clean with incredibly friendly attendants. Only place in Wilmington that has ever brushed my truck before I enter the wash. Most places also don't give free air fresheners anymore and this place gave me quite a few! Wash did a good job, and the vacuums afterward w

Mako Car Wash on Carolina Beach Rd. is excellent. The staff is always super friendly and they provide all the necessary things to detail and clean your vehicle. If I could give them more stars, I would. I highly recommend this location to everyone in Wilmington.

This is an awesome car wash with an even better owner. He always has a smile on his face and always waves or says hi. The car wash itself does a great job. From the free vacuums to the large round buffer at the end of the car wash, this place does a great job!!

I highly recommend this business to keep your car, sparkling Clean! The car wash itself is fabulous and the package deals are very reasonable. I'm very particular about my car and get it washed twice a week. I have never been disappointed. Plus, they provide free towels, free vacuuming, And free mat cleaning. The staff is stellar! They truly care about their customers, and it shows! In closing, 1 will greatly miss this car wash when I go back home. So if you're in the Carolina Beach area or the Wilmington area it's definitely worth a drive.
